Milestone Sessions: Where Giggles, Dirt, and Big Personalities Shine ✨

If you’ve ever wondered what pure joy looks like — it’s a milestone session with kids!
Yearly portraits are hands down one of my favorite things to photograph. Every kid brings their own sparkle, silliness, and sweet moments to the camera, and honestly... I’m just lucky enough to be there for it.

Kids usually love me (probably because I'm basically a big kid in disguise). They think I’m silly — because, well, I am. And you know what? Those wide-eyed, blank stares they give me when they're trying to figure me out? I LIVE for them. Those expressions are absolutely priceless.

Milestone sessions can be anything you want them to be — quick and easy with a mini session or a big, dreamy adventure. Whether it's a fancy tea party, a train ride adventure, or getting gloriously messy digging in the dirt with their favorite Tonka toys, the goal is the same: capturing their one-of-a-kind magic.

This featured session stars sweet little Luci, who celebrate her very first birthday! 🎉 At just one year old, Luci already has a spark all her own — and capturing that big personality in such a beautiful, simple setting made this session one for the books. Photographed in my cozy neighborhood in Mead, just off Highway 2. We played with bubbles floating all around us in the midst of a beautiful tree-lined path — oh my heart — it looked like a fairytale. We also found a few of my favorite little backdrops: a bright white wall and a rustic rusty brown one. They are PERFECT for making those adorable outfits pop.

And of course, no session feels complete without one of my signature shots: the child standing tall and proud between Mom and Dad. It’s more than just a pose — it’s a visual representation of love, support, and belonging. It's a reminder that as these little ones grow, they are firmly rooted in the love that surrounds them.

These milestone sessions aren’t just about snapping a photo — they’re about celebrating who your child is right now: sweet, silly, serious, sassy, or somewhere in between. They grow and change so fast, but these moments? We can freeze them forever.
